Entries:
Entries are accepted through Art Call. Entries cannot be watermarked due to the blind jury process and must follow the exhibition theme. Entries are evaluated and selected based on creativity, quality, adherence to theme, and exhibit space.
Artists may submit original digital works including photography, painting, collage and mixed media, animation, drawing, typography, or other digital art.
Entrants may choose to provide a brief description of the exhibit entry and a link to their artist website address, Facebook, and Instagram accounts for posting with each accepted entry.
Entry Fees and Eligibility:
The entry fee is $30 for up to three submissions and is payable at the time of entry. Entries fees are not refundable.
The exhibition is open to all international artists 16 years of age and older. The maximum number of entries per artist is three (3). Files must be in JPG or PNG format and must be a minimum of 960 px, up to a maximum of 3600 px.
All artists will be notified by email from Art Call regarding the status of their submitted entries. By providing your email address, you agree to receive notifications regarding your entry.
Charitable Contributions:
Twenty percent (20%) of each show’s entry fees will be donated to a designated charitable organization. Selected charities are selected based on community impact at the discretion of STCEA and are not partners, affiliates, or in any way associated with STCEA.
Awards:
A cash prize will be awarded to Best in Show, with the amount to be determined based on number of total entries.
Awards of Distinction will be awarded for high artistic merit at the discretion of the show’s juror.
An Artist’s Choice award will be selected by the artists’ peers from all exhibit entries and announced at the conclusion of the exhibit. Artists will be provided with a link to vote and only one vote per artist is permitted. Voting timeframes are posted on the call page.
A People’s Choice award will be announced at the conclusion of the exhibit based on attendee voting. Any website visitor is eligible to vote for the People’s Choice award, provided the voter authenticates their identity via Facebook login to prevent voter fraud. Up to five (5) votes per authenticated user are permitted. Voting timeframes are posted on the call page.
Juror/Curator:
The curator for Debut is Amy Hollan, STCEA’s Creative Director. Amy is an award-winning emerging artist who has exhibited nationally and whose works are held in private collections throughout the United States.
Sale of Work:
STCEA does not sell exhibited works of art or collect commissions for any artwork purchased directly by exhibit attendees from artists. Purchase inquiries will be directed to the participating artists for follow up.

Submitting artists agree and understand that they will be added to STCEA’s email list and will receive future email announcements and email notices from us. If you want to unsubscribe, please contact us at southerntierartists@gmail.com and we will remove you immediately from our email subscriber list.
Publicity and Use Rights:
STCEA promotes its exhibitions and accepted artists. Upon acceptance, you give STCEA permission to publish and promote submitted images of your work and quotations from your entry description and artist bio via email, website, social media, press releases, collateral and digital marketing materials, and online events to the public.
Copyrights:
Submitting artists attest that all entries are their own, original works and bear full responsibility for compliance with all copyright laws. Art generated, created, or remixed by Artificial Intelligence (AI) software, algorithms, or programs are not eligible for entry.
Any copyright infringement by a submitting artist as reported to STCEA will result in immediate disqualification and removal of images and/or text from the exhibition and all official STCEA accounts.
No images may be copied or downloaded from the exhibition website or official STCEA website and social media accounts.
